Lincoln City 2 Dartford 1

Tony Burman

Dartford were beaten by a controversial 89th-minute penalty in a 2-1 defeat at Lincoln on Saturday.

Darts players were convinced Jake Jones had tripped over his own feet for the spot-kick that was converted by Colin Larkin.

But Dartford boss Tony Burman (pictured) refused to blame referee Ross Joyce and theatened to make changes to his squad.

He said: “We lacked quality and now we have some decisions to make. I’ve got scope to bring players in and I may have to because that performance was not good enough.”

Lincoln took the lead through Vadaine Oliver’s header on six minutes but had Jake Sheridan sent off for a lunge on Lee Noble toward the end of the first half.

Noble levelled with a fine strike 15 minutes from time but Darts finished empty-handed and remain 10th in Blue Square Bet Premier.
