Hull City 1 Charlton Athletic 0

A mistake by goalkeeper Ben Hamer saw Charlton lose 1-0 at
Championship promotion hopefuls Hull City on Saturday.
Hamer dropped Robbie Brady’s corner at the feet of Egyptian
striker Mohamed Gedo who netted the only goal on 33 minutes.
The Addicks were unbeaten in their last eight visits to
Hull.
They had the chance to extend that record when the ball fell to
substitute Danny Haynes five minutes from time but Tigers keeper
David Stockdale made a terrific save.
Addicks boss Chris Powell said: “We didn’t start off in the
right way and paid the price with a poor goal. You are always
chasing the game after that.
“I asked for a response at half-time and I got that in the
second period.”
The defeat leaves Charlton 15th in the Championship ahead of a
trip to Leicester on Tuesday.
