Crystal Palace 2 Charlton Athletic 1

Charlton were beaten by a late Glenn Murray double in a 2-1
derby defeat at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Addicks led through Ricardo Fuller’s strike after 15 minutes
and played some of their best football of the season for an
hour.
Fuller, pictured, Bradley Pritchard and Johnnie Jackson were
denied by Julian Speroni while Leon Cort headed over as the
visitors threatened to extend their lead.
But promotion-chasing Palace equalised on 75 minutes when Murray
collected a Dean Moxey pass and beat Ben Hamer and he struck the
winner four minutes later.
The defeat leaves Charlton 14th in the Championship and boss
Chris Powell said: “It’s tough to take because it’s easy to forget
about how well we played in that first 60 minutes.
“It was a proper local derby with chances at both ends and it’s
just a body blow for us.”
