Transfer deadline day could see Dartford add to their squad in The Skrill Premier
Dartford boss Tony Burman could yet add to his squad before the transfer window shuts on Monday night.
Burman has a squad of 24 players at his disposal but has not ruled out bringing someone else in before the 11pm deadline.
He said: "I’ve had plenty of names being bandied about. If someone comes along who I think can improve the squad, there’s a possibility we would sign that guy.
"There’s plenty of people offering players but some of them have not done a pre-season. It’s not really what we want. Fitness-wise, we’re OK, but if there is a player available then I’d take him if I felt he was going to improve us.
"We’ll have to see what happens on Monday. You might get a call and say ‘yeah, that’ll be fine, we’ll do a deal’ - but at the moment there aren’t people lined up."
Burman was left fuming on Saturday when the Darts were denied what looked like a stonewall penalty in stoppage-time of their 2-1 home defeat to Lincoln City.
Adam Birchall's shot was blocked by the arm of an Imps player but although referee Lee Swabey had a good view of the incident, he chose not to award the spot-kick.
Burman said: "My feeling is that it’s 100% handball. There’s no question. He’s got his arms out, we’ve hit the shot, it’s going on target and it’s handball.
"The referee is saying 'it was handball but it wasn’t intentional'. It’s absolute rubbish.
"It is so disappointing when they say that.
"If there’s someone crossing the ball outside the box and it’s handball, he gives it, 100% he will give that decision."
Elliot Bradbrook's header gave Dartford hope after Ben Tomlinson and Andrew Boyce had put Lincoln 2-0 up at the break.
"We had a go," Burman said. "The players responded to the half-time team talk. We’ve played against a good side; I don’t think we should take that away. Lincoln are a good, strong side. They're powerful and they're the fittest side we’ve seen so far.
"I just feel we’ve been very let down."
