Kent Air Ambulance lands in Deal following collision in St Richard's Road

A motorcyclist has been injured in a crash with a car in Deal yesterday (Wednesday).

The bike collided with a Mazda at 1.50pm in St Richard's Road, which was closed while the air ambulance landed close to Queen Street Doctors' surgery.

Paramedics treated the male motorcyclist at the scene.

Initial reports suggest there are no life-threatening injuries.

Children from St Mary's Primary nearby were allowed to go home early to minimise traffic congestion.

Police have now reopend St Richard's Road.
