Air ambulance lands on Deal Promenade

Several ambulance vehicles as well as an air ambulance were called to Deal this morning, following an incident in Middle Street.

An elderly man who lives in the road was checked over and taken to the QEQM Hospital by road crews after the emergency services received a call at 6.46am.

They stayed with the casualty until after 9am when he was conveyed to Margate.

A Middle Street resident claimed the ambulance service had been parked in the road since 7.15am.

Another ambulance had parked up in Beach Street.

The Kent Air Ambulance landed on the promenade near the Royal Hotel, 43 minutes after receiving the call out.

A Seacamb spokesman said: "I can confirm we were called to Middle Street, however this is a private address and therefore we cannot advise of any other details."
