Woman arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after hitting two parked cars in The Strand in Walmer

A suspected drink driver remains in custody after allegedly smashing into two parked cars in Walmer last night.

Emergency services were called to The Strand at around 11.15pm after reports a vehicle carrying two passengers had crashed.

One woman was treated by ambulance crews while firefighters prevented a fuel spillage from contaminating nearby drains.

A police spokesman said: “A 27-year-old woman from Deal was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and is currently in custody.”
