Discounted tickets on offer for Enchanted Circus at Walmer Castle Gardens

A treat is in store for readers of this week’s Mercury series with discounted two-for-one entry to a circus in the stunning grounds of Walmer Castle.

From Thursday to Sunday, (July 21 to 24) Switzerland’s The Enchanted Circus Big Top will be pitched at the Tudor castle, where families will be able to enter a fairy-tale world in which ancient stories will come to life.

Isobel Cooley of English Heritage said: “Lit by glittering visual effects and set to music, we’ll lead you deep into a forest, past a robber’s hideout and right to the edge of the sea.

“Take a front-row seat to follow the fortunes of princes and maidens and see their adventures come to life with eye-swivelling acrobatics.

“Sparked with humour, there will be thrills for the children and goosebumps for the grown-ups.”
