Boy rescued from railings

A two-year-old boy became the centre of attention in Dover last Wednesday evening when his head became stuck in railings.

It happened at Oswald Road just after 5.30pm and despite the best efforts of family and friends, he could not be released.

So a call was made to the Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and fire-fighters from Dover attended.

They managed to release the boy from the railings with some “gentle persuasion”.

“We pulled slightly harder than his mother would have done,” said one of the fire crew.
