BROCANTE: Pick up treasures at fair on Walmer Green this May Bank Holiday

More than 160 stalls will spread out across Walmer Green on Monday in this year’s Brocante.

Organised by Walmer Parish Council, the popular antiques, collectables and crafts fair attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Items on sale will include vintage clothing, furniture and homewares, musical and military memorabilia, toys, jewellery, and local arts and crafts.

Council chairman Cllr Pat Heath said: “The Brocante is now one of the largest such fairs in east Kent and attracts visitors from far and wide.

“From Bank Holiday browsers soaking up the atmosphere to serious buyers from London and further afield the event offers something for everyone.”

Valuers from The Canterbury Auction Galleries will be on hand from 10am until 1pm to advise visitors about their collectables and how to convert these into cash at auction.

Their tips will be given in return for a small donation to local charities, Walmer Lifeboat and Deal Memorial Bandstand Trust.

The event will run from 8am until 4pm.
