Most bin collections will be a day later than usual in Dover district during Christmas week.

Pickups that would be for next Monday, which is Christmas Day, have taken place today (Saturday).

But in all other cases next week, from Boxing Day to next Friday, the collections will be a day later.

Dover District Council advises people to put out their rubbish 7am as pickup times will vary.

There will also be no garden waste collections from Christmas Day until to Friday, January 5.

People are advised to remind family, friends and neighbours of the changes.
