Firefighters tackle derelict warehouse fire in Dover

Firefighters tackled a rubbish fire in a derelict warehouse in Dover last night.

Appliances from Dover and Deal attended the incident in Barwick Road at 5.30pm.

They extinguished the blaze and continued working for about an hour to empty the building of smoke.

Watch manager Jamie Muddle said: “It was a small rubbish fire in a derelict building. We spent a lot of time using the PPV fans to empty the building of smoke.”
