Emergency response to 'distressed' woman in The Strand, Walmer

Emergency services have responded to reports of a distressed woman.

Police and the ambulance service were called to The Strand in Walmer at 1.35pm.

The woman has since been taken to hospital where she will be handed to health care professionals.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.35pm on Thursday, June 8 2017, regarding a report of a distressed woman near The Strand at Walmer.

"Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene.

"The woman is being taken to a local hospital where she will be handed to health care professionals."
