Reports from eye witnesses about two crashes in Ripple and one along the A258 have been confirmed.

She said: "There were two ambulances and a police car, and the road was blocked for about 45 minutes."

Kent Police has confirmed that a call was made at 2.52pm this afternoon to a two-car collision in Pommeus Lane. Occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Kent Police has also confirmed a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A258 at 4.14pm today.

South East Coast Air Ambulance and firefighters are currently on the scene and vehicles are awaiting recovery.

This comes after reports of an accident between a car and a people carrier at the St Margaret's turn-off along the A258 towards Deal.

Passer-by Cate Benjamin said: "The driver was helped out by the fire brigade.

"I hope no ones hurt. The emergency services are there and they are to the side of the road, but the road is relatively clear."
