Fairy parade delivers a serious message about dog poo on Deal promenade, Deal, Kent

Children will dress up as fairies, pirates and superheroes and parade along Deal seafront, in protest against dog fouling tomorrow.

The procession starts at 2.30pm from Deal Pier to Sandown Castle and back.

Youngsters will march along the promenade with banners, alongside north Deal mascot Scooby Dude. Afterwards they will enjoy refreshments courtesy of manager Natasha Franz at The Royal Hotel.

Volunteer community organiser and leader of the project Louise Butler said: “It’s the children’s chance to shame irresponsible dog owners plus learn and be educated.”
