Sandwich carnival court selection took place at the Guildhall on Saturday

The Sandwich carnival court selection took place at the Guildhall on Saturday and saw more than 30 entrants.

There were 21 entrants for the junior court and nine entrants for the senior court.

John Fowler, chairman of the Sandwich Carnival Association said: “The event was very well supported by many visiting courts from all around the county.

“All the entrants for the positions for little miss dreams, junior court and senior court were to the highest standard.”

Seven new faces were selected to represent the town at various events this year.

Mr Fowler added: “All the helpers are all looking forward to a vary packed year of events this year.”

Junior and senior princesses and queen’s were also selected and there was a disco afterwards to celebrate and meet other carnival courts.
