Kent Police has launched an appeal after a cat was shot with an air rifle in St David's Avenue, Dover.

An appeal has been launched after a cat was shot with an air rifle pellet in Dover.

Kent Police is looking for information after the cat returned home to its owner with a limp.

The cat owner, who does not wish to be identified, let out her pet at midday on Monday, March 10, and when he returned at 4.30pm she realised he was injured.

It is believed the incident took place in the St David’s Avenue area.

The cat was taken to a veterinary surgeon who extracted an air rifle pellet from his front leg and the pet should make a full recovery.
