Last chance to sign up to Deal Boxing Day dip online

There’s only a couple of days left to register your place in this year’s Boxing Day Dip in Deal.

The chilly challenge takes place at the north side of the pier at 11am on December 26 and this year will raise cash for Ellice’s Wish to Walk.

Items for the Deal Area Foodbank are also being collected.

Ellice's Wish to Walk is a £65,000 fundraising campaign led by her parents Amy and Joe Barr, of Magness Road.

The money is to pay for life-changing selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) surgery and rehabilitation to help the five-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, to walk unaided.

Mr Barr and his friends will be taking the plunge dressed as Disney princesses.

Ellice will also be doing her very own dip, of a different kind, but details are strictly under wraps until the day.
