Painting and drawing of Deal Beach by L.S Lowry to go on sale

A Kent auctioneer is offering the sale of two prints of Deal beach by L.S. Lowry.

The painter came to Deal in 1912 and sketched the beach scene. It is simply called Deal.

In 1947, he used the sketch as a basis for a full painting of the same scene called The Beach.
