A man has been taken to hospital after an “altercation” in Deal.

Police confirmed would only say it happened in Freemans Way at around 6pm tonight.

A spokesman said: “No arrests have been made and officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident.”

The victim is understood to be a 42-year-old man who lives in the town.

Witnesses say forensic officers have been at the scene.

No other details were available.
