McDonald's will not take over the Hole in the Roof pub in Queen Street, Deal

McDonald's has confirmed it is not taking over a recently sold Deal pub.

A spokesman for the fast food chain today revealed it has no interest in occupying the Hole in the Roof in Queen Street.

But the firm is keen to branch out into Deal.

In a prepared statement the spokesman said: "McDonald's is interested in investing in Deal as we believe this would have a positive impact on the area and provide new jobs for local people.

"Whilst there are currently no concrete plans, we continue to monitor opportunities in the area."

In the meantime we await confirmation from Stonegate Pub Company whether they are taking it on as a Slug and Lettuce or Yates chain.
