Teen taken to hospital as priority after Ringwould crash

A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital as a priority after being involved in this morning's crash near Ringwould.

The incident, involving a van and a car, occurred on the A258 Deal to Dover Road between Queen’s Rise and The Five Bells at about 8.20am.

The teen, who was in the car, suffered neck pain and a potential head injury.

Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to the scene just before 8.30am.

A SECamb spokesman said: “The driver of the car, a 19-year-old male, was taken to hospital suffering from neck pain.

"He was fully conscious when leaving the scene but there was some concern he lost consciousness on the way meaning there may have been a head injury.

“He was taken as a priority to William Harvey Hospital.”

A police spokesman said: “One person has been taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing.”
