More than 1,200 people helped celebrate the anniversary of the first timetabled service in the UK, which started running between Kingsdown and Deal 100 years ago.

They made a special journey on a number of vintage buses on Saturday.

Organised by the Friends of East Kent Road Car Company, the event saw 1,268 passengers enjoy the free three-mile ride.

There were seven double deck buses to transport them.
