Trio of young people face magistrates

Three teenagers are to face magistrates today after being charged in connection with a series of incidents in Dover at the weekend.

Kent Police was called at 10.30pm on Saturday to reports of a robbery in the alleyway between Dover Priory railway station and Priory Hill, when a man was assaulted.

Officers then received a call at just after 10.50pm after it was reported a taxi driver had been assaulted and cash and satellite navigation allegedly stolen.

Shortly afterwards, at about 11.05pm, a man was reported to have been assaulted in Tower Hamlets Road.

Jordan Wills, 18, of Parker Place in Hawkinge, was charged with two counts of robbery, ABH, vehicle interference and escape from lawful custody.

A 17-year-old girl from Hawkinge, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with robbery, while a 17-year-old boy from Dover, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with two counts of robbery, criminal damage, ABH and vehicle interference.

All three have been remanded in custody to appear at Dover Magistrates’ Court today.
