Maddie Wahdan from Deal organises own beauty pageant Miss Fresh Face UK

A beauty pageant veteran from Deal will host her own competition later this month, offering the winner a trip to Dubai.

The second annual Miss Fresh Face UK pageant, founded by Maddie Wahdan, 22, of Mill Road, will be at Bluebirds Function Rooms in Dover on Saturday, November 21.

Having been entering beauty competitions since she was a teenager and recently graduated in event management, the competition is something Miss Wahdan has always wanted to do.

The former Miss Sandwich and Kent Carnival Queen said: “I’m looking for some more contestants to take part. We only had adults last year but now we have opened it up for all ages.

“There are four categories. They are mini, junior, teen and miss.”

It costs £65 to enter and the prizes include are a trip to Dubai, tickets to see a West End show, make-up worth about £100 and a spa day.

Contestants will compete in four rounds; white dress, casual clothes which must be white, red or blue, wow wear and evening wear.

Money will also be raised for the Rainbow Child Foundation which is a charity helps underprivileged children all over the world in a variety of ways.
