Police are investigating two bodies found on the shore around Dover within hours of each other.
They are not being connected, but police were called to reports of the first body early yesterday morning.
It was discovered on the shoreline between Dover and St Margaret's - between Crab Bay and Fan Bay.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, but a report is being prepared for the coroner and work is under way to identify the man.
He is not believed to have come from the Kent area.
In a second, unrelated incident, a man's body was recovered by lifeboat crews on the shoreline below Langdon Cliffs in Dover at around 3.15pm yesterday.
The body has not been formally identified but the family of a man reported missing from the London area on Sunday night have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
