Teenager cautioned after crying rape in Whitfield, Dover

A 16-year-old boy who admitted wasting police time by making up that he had been raped, has been formally cautioned.

He said three masked men raped him in a subway in Honeywood Road, Whitfield, while he was out jogging early on October 22 last year.

The police launched a sexual assault investigation after the teenager informed them.

The underpass beneath the A2 was closed off all day.

The boy withdrew the allegation a short while later and was questioned about the offence of wasting police time.
