Dover Eastern Docks spillage of corrosive liquid from lorry - firefighters there

Firefighters have been dealing with the spillage of a hazardous substance at a port.

Firefighters are still at Dover Eastern Docks dealing with the corrosive liquid, which came from a lorry.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident at 7.01am.

Two fire engines, support vehicles and hazardous material officers are there.

Crews have been working closely with the Port of Dover.

The spillage is described as small.

A fire service spokesman said: "Crews have stopped the leak, isolated the lorry and made the scene safe.

"There is no disruption to service at the port."
