Dover: Costa Coffee in Biggin Street broken into

Police are hunting thieves who broke into a Costa Coffee shop and stole money from a charity tin and jar for staff tips.

The cafe in Biggin Street, Dover, was broken into at about 10.30pm on Friday and money was reportedly stolen.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of burglary at Costa Coffee in Biggin Street, Dover, on Friday, February 23.

"It is believed that at around 10.30pm the business was broken into where cash was reported stolen.

"The money reported stolen is believed to have been charity money and cash from a tips jar."

It has not been confirmed how much was taken.
