The Deal-bound lane on the A258 is partially blocked after a car broke down this morning.

A red Volkswagen polo is diagonally angled on the road, causing motorists to swerve around it.

Police confirmed they were called at 8.30am and that another motorist, in a white Ford, had stopped to help shift the car out of the way.

The VW's front wheel on the driver's side was buckled.

A woman and a child were seen outside of the car and a man on the telephone.

A police spokesman said: "Patrols were called to assist."
