Theatre-lovers in the district are spoilt for choice this week as two Dover amateur dramatic groups stage their latest productions.

Dover Operatic and Dramatic Society have chosen the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie for their show which starts at the town hall tomorrow (Tuesday) evening. There are performances throughout the rest of the week.

Hannah Flaherty has the title role of Millie Dilmount, with Tracey Owen as Muzzy Van Hossmere, and Sheena Isaacson as the villain of the piece, Mrs Mears.

Tickets are available from Dover Information Centre next to the town hall, or by calling 01304 240477.

Meanwhile, Temple Ewell Players will be performing another home-grown play, Home Is Where The Heart Is, written by one of their own members, Martin Ladbrook, who is also directing.

It's a comedy farce and is being performed in Temple Ewell Village Hall each evening from Thursday to Saturday.

Tickets are available from The Fox public house in the village, phone 01304 823598.
