Former Luton Town, Aldershot Town and Dartford midfielder Jim Stevenson joins Dover Athletic

Dover Athletic have made their first close-season capture by signing a midfielder who played against them in the Vanarama National League last season.

Jim Stevenson was a virtual ever present for Aldershot Town last season making 49 appearances and scoring six goals but he was not offered a new deal by the club at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old's player profile on the Hampshire club's website described him as a 'dynamic box-to-box midfielder.' He joined the Shots on a one-year contract in August 2015, having scored three times in 14 appearances during a previous loan spell.

Luton-born Stevenson began his career at Histon, scoring 16 goals in 113 games to catch the eye of Luton Town manager John Still who signed him on a two-year deal in May 2013.

Stevenson made 12 appearances for the Hatters, and also played 23 games in a loan spell with Dartford from December 2013 to April 2014.
