Four boys from Deal and Dover arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods

Two boys from Deal remain in custody today after being arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Police received a report of a group of young people acting suspiciously in Folkestone Road at around 4pm on Wednesday, October 29.

When officers attended, the suspects left the scene but were later arrested near Dover Priory train station.

A police spokesman said: “A number of items including phones and a satnav were recovered which had been identified as potentially being stolen.”

Two boys from Dover, aged 17 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A spokesman added: “They have been bailed until November 13 pending further enquiries.”

Two more boys, aged 16 and 15, both from Deal were also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and are currently still in custody.
