Three men in bid to sexually assault woman in Templar Street, Dover

A teenage woman walking home after a Christmas party was approached from behind by three men who tried to sexually assault her, it's been revealed.

Detectives in Dover are now appealing for information after the alleged attempted sexual assault in Templar Sreet, Dover.

The 19-year-old girl was coming home after a party at 1.10am today, when three men approached her from behind and tried to attack her sexually.

The assault was only thwarted when the victim's mobile phone rang.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to make contact.

Detective Sergeant Michelle Burgess said: "The festive season is a busy time for socialising and we would ask people to remember to take measures to stay safe; make sure you look out for your friends, stay in groups, make sure you don’t get separated and keep to well-lit areas if walking home.

"Fortunately the victim was physically unharmed, but we would appeal for anyone with any information to make contact with us."
