Girl, 11, killed in crash horror

AN 11-year-old girl has been killed in a crash involving three vehicles on a main road in Kent.

The girl was a passenger in a black Ford Fiesta travelling on the the A258 Deal-Dover road between the junctions with St Margaret's.

Three other people were taken to the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate. Police have not yet named the girl who died.

The crash happened at around 2.15pm on Saturday. It is believed the Fiesta was in collison with a red Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction. A silver Honda Accord was also involved.

Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit is studying the accident and an appeal has been made for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to phone 01622 698538.

Firefighters from Deal, St Margaret's and Dover were called to the scene and crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the trapped casualties.
