Appeal for funds to bring back body of Trevor Wolden, of London Road, Dover, after his death in Bulgaria

A family has made a heart-breaking appeal for £5,000 to bring their father home after he died in Bulgaria.

Trevor Wolden, 50, had lived in a caravan on a building site in London Road, Dover.

Originally from Nuncargate in Kirkby, Nottingham, Mr Wolden had been in Kent for the last four years.

On Tuesday, April 26, the father-of-four was found dead in his hotel room in Sofia, Bulgaria.

It is not known the circumstances surrounding his death and he was travelling alone at the time.

His daughter Zoe Ward said he had gone to the country to do some voluntary work, delivering furniture to orphanage charities.

She described her father as a loveable rouge, covered head to toe in tattoos with a heart of gold.

Mrs Ward confirmed she has been in contact with the British Embassy in a bid to get her father's body back home.

But she and her siblings do not have enough between them to pay for his body to be flown home.

She said: "I did not know what my dad would be doing from day to day only that he was going to be driving to different countries delivering the furniture.

"I have never had to deal with anything like this before, it has been such a shock losing my dad with the added fact that he was abroad and we don't know how we are going to bring him home.

"I have been an absolute wreck, but everyone that has donated have been really helping me get through this."

Mrs Ward has set up a GoFundMe page which allows people to donate over the internet.
