Nigel Ordinans found decapitated in Dover after killing wife Linda, inquest hears

A husband killed his wife at their family home before fleeing to Dover to take his own life.

An inquest at Black Country Coroner’s Court heard that Nigel Ordinans, 63, bludgeoned his wife Linda, 61, at their three-bedroom home in Bushbury, Wolverhampton, before driving to Dover where he was found decapitated in his car in Upper Road.

Both bodies were found in the early hours of Thursday, December 8.

Following the inquest, the coroner recorded Mrs Ordinans was unlawfully killed and Mr Ordinans took his own life.

At an earlier hearing at the Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone, it was revealed a suicide note had been found in the car.

The inquest also heard Mr Ordinans had phoned Kent Police to say he had killed his wife before his body was found a short time later at the scene of a car crash.

Mr Ordinans was a retired brewery worker, while Mrs Ordinans was an office worker.
