Motorists experience delays as lorry strikes bridge in Dover

A main road in Dover has been blocked after a lorry struck a railway bridge this afternoon.

Cars were not able to pass under the bridge in Coombe Valley Road after the truck got wedged underneath it at 1.30pm.

Kent County Council advised people to avoid the area and said that Magdala Road and Edgar Road were both congested.
