Polish lorry driver dies of suspected heart attack on P&O Spirit of France vessel

First aiders were unable to revive a lorry driver who died of a suspected heart attack on P&O's Sprit of France vessel.

The ship was berthed at Calais when the man, 57, was found collapsed in the early hours of this morning in the freight drivers' toilet area.

P&O's press spokesman Brian Rees said: "Our first aiders worked hard to try to save a Polish lorry driver, found collapsed on board when the ship was at Calais in the early hours of this morning. But despite CPR and defibrilation but to no avail."
