Port of Dover worker flown to hospital after fall

A Port of Dover worker was flown to hospital after a fall at Dover Cargo Terminal.

The incident happened on Friday morning and involved a contractor working for the port.

The air ambulance was called and the man, who suffered head injuries, was taken to King's hospital in London.

A Port of Dover spokesman said: “A thorough investigation is underway and our immediate thoughts are with the contractor who, we are delighted to hear, is making good progress.”

It is believed the worker fell from a ladder.
