Alkham Road in Temple Ewell is closed for emergency roadworks after a gas leak.

This has affected bus services through the village.

The Stagecoach number 60A will divert along Lower Road.

The road will be re-opened on Thursday, February 18.

It is closed by the railway bridge and Southern Gas Networks are on the scene to repair the leak as soon as possible.

Traffic is being diverted via Lower Road, High Street and London Road.

KCC Highways tweeted that the severity of this is high.
