Dover and Walmer lifeboat crews searching for body spotted in the sea from ferry

By Gerry Warren

Lifeboat crews from Dover and Walmer are searching the sea off St Margaret's at Cliffe for a body.

The boats were launched after a passenger on board a cross channel ferry raised the alarm after seeing what they thought might be somebody floating in the water.

The crews went into action shortly after 2pm and are still at sea almost hours later.
