P&O Ferries banned Cardiff University students from sailing after one allegedly urinated on table

A group of rowdy students have been banned from sailing with P&O after one of them reportedly urinated on a table as a family were eating

The medical rugby students from Cardiff University were travelling to Amsterdam on P&O's 11.15pm cross-Channel sailing from Dover on the Spirit of France, on February 12.

But they were forced to make their own way back to the UK after ferry staff told them they were barred from travelling back on board.

P&O spokesman Brian Rees said: "It is suffice to say their behaviour was not tolerable and when they disembarked at Calais we explained that they would not be coming back with P&O Ferries."

The university's student newspaper, Gair Rhydd, reported that the student was drunk and that he was wearing a university branded hoody.

A Cardiff University spokesman said they were aware of the incident, but no formal complaints had been made.
