He became uncomfortable when the man slowed to walk alongside him, and took his mobile phone out to call his mother.

The boy then sped up and passed the male, before walking to a relative's house.

Since it was reported, a 15-year-old pupil has come forward to say he was chased by a man of a similar description on the same day.

The second incident happened in the Shooters Hill area at the junction with George Street.

The man is described as being white, between 5ft and 5'6ft, in his early 30s and of "chubby" build.

He was wearing a leather jacket which appeared too big for him, black trousers and black trainers with white soles. He was also said to have a "wonky" nose.

Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call police on 01304 218182 quoting reference 07*483, or Kent CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
