Traffic delays after two lorries collide at rush hour

Two lorries have collided on the approach to Dover, causing traffic disruption.

The accident happened on Wednesday evening on the coastbound section of the A20 at around 3.50pm.

Two vehicles were in collision, with one hitting the central reservation. Fire crews had to free one man, trapped in the wreckage.

Fire crews from Dover were on the scene and specialist urban search and rescue were also sent from Maidstone Fire Station to assist in the rescue.

The Capel-le-Ferne junction with the A20 was closed, as was the Aycliffe roundabout, with drivers advised to find alternative routes.
