Image of man police want to find after woman pushed into River Dour, Dover

Police are investigating after a woman was pushed into a river.

They have now issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

The woman was assaulted at the River Dour’s Barton Path, Dover, between Cherry Tree Avenue and Beaconsfield Road.

A man is reported to have approached the victim from behind before pushing her into the shallow water.

He then ran in the direction of Limes Road.

The assault on the woman, who is in her 20s, happened between 7.40am and 7.55am on Sunday, June 11.

Officers say the man whose image they have released may be able to assist them, and they want speak to anyone with information about the incident or who recognises him.
