Dover moved up four places to eighth in Vanarama Conference to leave boss Chris Kinnear’s side just three points out of the play-off places after a 2-0 win against Wrexham at Crabble on Tuesday.

The midfielder had an open goal at his mercy but somehow managed to put his shot wide when it would have been easier to score.

Murphy then went agonisingly close to grabbing his second after his shot came back off the post with Coughlin well beaten.

Stefan Payne did find the back of net with two minutes to go before he was ruled offside while substitute Ricky Modeste also saw his shot well saved by Coughlin just before the final whistle.
