Striker Nathan Elder scores new contract with Conference Premier-bound Dover

Nathan Elder has signed a new one-year deal at Conference Premier-bound Dover and the big striker couldn’t be happier.

Elder, whose thumping second half header proved to be the winner in Whites’ 1-0 play-off final triumph at his former club Ebbsfleet United last month, said he was so glad he’d agreed terms.

He said: “I am really relieved and so happy that it (his contract) has now been finalised.

“I am thrilled to be staying with the boys because we had a great team spirit last season and I loved being part of it.

“And I have no doubt that the new players Chris (manager Chris Kinnear) is bringing into the club will all mould in to what we had last season.

“It’s exciting times for the club and we are all looking forward to the challenge that now awaits us in Conference Premier.”

Meanwhile, captain Craig Stone has also signed a new deal to stay with Whites’ while defender Tyrone Sterling has arrived from Dartford.
