Dover Athletic goalkeeper Mitch Walker is an apparent target for League 1 side Crawley Town

Dover manager Chris Kinnear admits League 1 side Crawley Town’s apparent interest in signing his goalkeeper Mitch Walker is news to him.

Walker, who signed for Whites from Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2012, currently trains with Crawley, something he did last season – with Dover’s blessing.

But now it appears Crawley are keen to have the Skrill South Team of The Year No.1 with them on a permanent basis.

However, Kinnear said: “I don’t know what’s going on with all this talk about Mitch. He’s under contract with us for a start. There are so many rumours at this time of the year with players supposedly going here, there and everywhere.

“It is the silly season after all, but as far as I’m concerned Mitch will be with us at our first pre-season training (which was last night).”

Crawley’s current No.1 is veteran Dane, Brian Jensen. The 39-year-old old former WBA, Burnley and Bury player joined the Reds in May.
