Sam Gore leaves Dover Athletic

Dover manager Andy Hessenthaler has
confirmed Sam Gore has left the club after being told that his
contract would not be renewed next season.
The defender has been plagued by injury
problems and faces a double-hernia operation.
Hessenthaler said: “He’s been tremendous for
us but it has been frustrating for him this year and I couldn’t
offer him a new contract on the basis of this year.
“It’s best he goes somewhere else for a
fresh start and I’m sure he’ll do a great job for someone.”
Matt Fish was due to train this week and
could be included on Saturday while Adam Birchall and Jon Wallis
should feature having had an extra week to rest knocks picked up in
the 1-1 draw against Maidenhead.
Hessenthaler said: “We are getting everyone
back for consideration at a good time.”
